altDentistry 911: The Adhesive Restoration


Hold on for this dental materials and restorative update covering adhesives, composites, cements and ceramics. This clinically oriented discussion compares traditional and newly developed dental restorative materials and compares their clinical success. This course is designed to improve your practice by demonstrating which material works, where it works and techniques you may utilize to handle many everyday clinical problems. Understand why dental materials work from an evidence-based approach to clinical dentistry and learn answers to many of your questions. Results of current clinical trials and laboratory studies will be discussed to support this clinical update course, specifically when, where and how these materials can be successfully used. This course will improve your dental practice and selection of dental materials while providing information you may utilize your next clinical day.

Course Objectives - upon completion of this course, attendees will have a better understanding of:

  • Six steps to great bonding.
  • Effectiveness, limitations and techniques for using different adhesives.
  • Selecting composite resins for anterior and posterior applications.
  • Using sectional matrices for tight proximal contacts.
  • Flowables - where to and not to use them.
  • Which ceramic and cement to use in every application.
  • Proper technique and material to avoid sensitivity.
  • Increased post retention with an effective bonded technique.
